ISSCY isn't just another academic conference; it stands as a beacon for high school students worldwide aspiring to delve into the realms of social sciences and humanities. Co-hosted annually by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) and Youtheca USA, ISSCY encourages youth to communicate and conduct research in humanities and social sciences, promoting scholarly pursuits that contribute to our understanding of society.

About ISSCY

Themes Covered by ISSCY

ISSCY encompasses a wide spectrum of disciplines within humanities and social sciences. From classics, history, literature, linguistics, and arts to sociology, international relations, economics, political science, and more, the conference embraces topics that address global issues and human experiences across various domains. It serves as a platform where students can explore and present their insights into contemporary societal challenges.

Process of Participation

Students begin their ISSCY journey by submitting research proposals. Upon approval of their proposals and budget allocations, participants proceed to develop full-length papers based on their initial proposals. These papers are rigorously evaluated by a panel of judges, who select the finest submissions for publication in ISSCY's online journal. This structured process not only enhances academic rigor but also prepares students for scholarly discourse on an international stage.

The schedule for the 2022 ISSCY event was as follows:

   - Preliminary Round Deadline (Proposal Submission): August 24, 2022

   - Finalists Announced (Paper Submission): September 7, 2022

   - Final Round Deadline (Full Paper Submission): September 28, 2022

   - Publication (Journal Release): October 12, 2022

Research proposals, limited to under 500 words, outline the research topic, methodology, background, and clear objectives. It's worth noting that ISSCY accepts individual research submissions, emphasizing originality and scholarly rigor.

Contribution to Society Through Knowledge

ISSCY doesn't just evaluate the quality of research; it assesses the potential societal impact of the knowledge generated. This distinctive approach underscores the importance of selecting research topics that address pressing societal issues or contribute new perspectives and insights to human values and societal challenges.

In conclusion, for students preparing research and exploration in social sciences and humanities, selecting a research topic is as crucial as conducting the research itself. ISSCY offers a unique opportunity to showcase scholarly excellence while addressing meaningful issues that resonate globally.
